The wine is a blend of Cabernet Franc and Grolleau, the latter being a red variety grown primarily in the Loire Valley. While other brokers would seek out better known varieties, Gaillard championed under-the-radar jewels, understanding that only one thing mattered in the finished wine: flavor.
